Terms & Conditions of Hire

Consultation & Booking: Royle Weddings offer a FREE consultation service within a 50 mile radius. Booking is with a 50% deposit by BACS transfer or cash, confirmed in writing via email or post.

Period of Hire: A typical order will be on hire for a three day period. Additional hire time may incur a surcharge (to be discussed at point of booking).

Delivery & Collection: Clients can either collect their order direct from Royle Weddings HQ, with no delivery or collection charges, or we can deliver and collect the hire items for £35 within a 50 mile radius of Royle Weddings HQ (near Wymondham, Norfolk). If you live beyond the 50 mile radius, anywhere in the UK, we are still happy to deliver and collect and will arrange a price for this on a bespoke basis at the point of booking. 

Cancellation: If you have to cancel your booking with Royle Weddings and do so within 30 days of the agreed delivery date, there will be a small admin charge, taken from your 50% deposit, which will then be returned. Within the 30 day period, your 50% deposit is non-refundable. Cancellation is in writing via Royal Mail.

Packaging & Cleaning: Hire items will be delivered carefully wrapped and must be returned in the packaging for the collection date, with due care. All of our quality vintage items are delicate and fragile and if you wish to avoid a washing up surcharge (15% of hire charge), items must be carefully hand-washed (not in a dishwasher) and hand dried, with great care, to avoid damage charges. Alternatively, carefully rinse the items and return them to us packaged up, but dirty and let us take the washing up strain, charged at 15% of the hire fee.

Payment, Charges & Damages: Upon placing an order in writing with Royle Weddings, a 50% deposit is required. The full balance will then become due 30 days prior to the delivery date. In addition, a standard £150 damage deposit is payable at the same time as the full balance, by BACS transfer or cash. This money will be held until all the hire items are returned and checked for damage. If there are any breakages, chips or other damage, items will be charged according to the replacement charge listed on the 'Pricing' section of this website and deducted from the £150 damage deposit. To avoid these charges, please take great care of the vintage hire items and bring any damage to our attention when we come to collect the items, or when you return them and sign the delivery/collection note. 

Liability: Royle Weddings accept no responsibility for damage or injury caused to a person or product as a result of this hire arrangement. All goods are hired and are the sole responsibility of the hirer until they are returned to Royle Weddings. 

Insurance: We advise you take out suitable insurance yourself, as any losses, damages or breakages will be charged to the hirer.
